WBS Charitable Trust Bowls Wairarapa Academy

We're thrilled to announce that the WBS Charitable Trust has come on board as a key support of our coaching and development programme, with funding that will help take our efforts to the next level.

Thanks to this generous support, we're proud to launch the WBS Charitable Trust Bowls Wairarapa Academy - a regional initiative aimed at improving the standard of bowls across the Wairarapa and providing bowlers of this past season, the Academy will offer structured coaching, learning resources, and access to new tools to support bowlers of all levels.

With the help of the WBS Charitable Trust, we plan to:

• Introduce training diaries to help players reflect on their progress and set personal goals.

• Host guest speakers and mentors to share valuable knowledge on mindset, strategy, fitness, and more.

• Use coaching software and video tools to give players meaningful insights into their technique and performance.

• Invest in training equipment to help bowlers sharpen their skills and add variety to our sessions.

The WBS Charitable Trust Bowls Wairarapa Academy is about more than just developing future representatives - it's about lifting the overall quality of play in our region and creating an environment where motivated bowlers can learn, challenge themselves, and enjoy the game.
