Help Shape the Player of the Year Points System

The current system recognises achievement across a range of competitions — from local centre events to national and international tournaments. It also includes events played outside of Wairarapa, such as those hosted by other centres. This approach was partly designed to encourage players to seek out more competitive opportunities, including events at a higher level, while still valuing strong performances within our own Centre.

We know, however, that players have different perspectives. Some value the inclusion of external events for the experience and the chance to lift the overall standard of play. Others may prefer a system that focuses more on local and centre-level achievements, especially where time or cost may limit access to outside competitions.
